The
Living Conditions Index is the overall index adopted for measuring the
degree of satisfaction of basic needs for households and individuals
residing in Lebanon, in accordance with the Unsatisfied Basic Needs
Methodology (UBN). As mentioned in the Methodological Introduction and
the Methodological Guide (Appendix I), the Living Conditions Index is
used to classify households according to degrees of satisfaction. The
present chapter includes an analysis of the classification of households
according to this index, and the distribution characteristics of these
households according to indices of the four fields considered. The
chapter contains also a review and analysis of the geographical
distribution of households and individuals by degrees of satisfaction;
and of the demographic, social, educational and other characteristics,
with reference to the aforementioned classification. |
