Living Conditions Index in Lebanon {short description of image}
The Living Conditions Index is the overall index adopted for measuring the degree of satisfaction of basic needs for households and individuals residing in Lebanon, in accordance with the Unsatisfied Basic Needs Methodology (UBN). As mentioned in the Methodological Introduction and the Methodological Guide (Appendix I), the Living Conditions Index is used to classify households according to degrees of satisfaction. The present chapter includes an analysis of the classification of households according to this index, and the distribution characteristics of these households according to indices of the four fields considered. The chapter contains also a review and analysis of the geographical distribution of households and individuals by degrees of satisfaction; and of the demographic, social, educational and other characteristics, with reference to the aforementioned classification.
