Go Green Contest
Like each year the Go Green Contest was launched in all major universities across Lebanon. This year the contest was supported by the teachers themselves who loved the idea of the context and the themes and took responsibility of introducing them in their classes and encouraged their students to participate in it as part of the class project. The winners were announced on the 6th of July during the Annual Go Green Forum that took place in Shtroumpf from the 4th to the 6th of July 2003. The members of the jury were invited to view all the participating projects on the 3rd of July 2003, one day before the Forum kicked off. The projects were anonymously exhibited at Schtroumpf with only numbers and no names assigned, to allow for a fair evaluation.
The contest was divided into three main categories:
1- Advertising & Graphic Design:
Students participating in this category were encouraged to apply their creativity and self expression in one of the following themes:
- Fresh Water (2003 is the International Year for Fresh Water). see the winning project
- Organic Food. see the winning project
- Forestation & Reforestation. see the winning project
Winners in each of the above category were announced during the Environment Forum during the 4th-6th of July 2003. The winners were awarded each a $1,000 in cash. A $1,000 cash was also awarded to the best 3 Dimension project.

The tour was an exceptional experience were the students had the chance to shoot pictures that are artistically beautiful but that also show the negative impacts of desertification in certain regions of Lebanon.
