Mr. Yves de San, UNDP Resident Representative and Ms. Nayla Moawad, President of Rene Moawad Foundation will launch this study.

The booklet includes an overview of the workshop series organized by UNDP and Rene Moawad Foundation during the last quarter of 2002 and includes the presentations, discussions and recommendations from the workshops. Three sessions were organized in North Lebanon, South Lebanon and Bekaa with the participation of more than 150 cooperatives, and final recommendations were issued in Beirut at a concluding session held in November 2002.

We are confident that the booklet will serve as important reference document for you.
