Background
The project is a joint collaboration between Greece, through the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources (CRES) and Lebanon on sustainable development issues, specifically related to Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

Achievements & Expected Results
- A MoU was signed between UNDP and IRI to accommodate the testing facility at IRI premises and to operate it and run it.
- Installation of solar collectors at the affected regions of South Lebanon, to be implemented directly by CRES with the assistance of UNDP/LCECP.
- Installation of lamps of low consumption in residences and small institutions, to be implemented by UNDP/LCECP.
- Installation of testing and measurements equipment for solar collectors, to be implemented directly by CRES.
- Management, evaluation, regular reporting.
